Out of Place Gallery
artists are staging an
exciting mixed exhibition throughout November, 2007. 'Earth,
Wind and Fire' will get off to an amazing
start on Friday 2nd with a preview in the gallery from 6:30, a
bonfire at 7.30, a DIY barbeque - and a fire lantern spectacular
for
all to participate.
Based at the Eco Park at Porthtowan, the gallery is able to
extend its
exhibition area to include the Cob Courtyard, a sheltered
intimate
space
with natural seating, small 'stage area' and a fire pit ideal
for
gatherings on a cold evening.
The Amphitheatre, created in the ethos of Eco principles, is one
of the
highest points, and with no light pollution, it is our aim to
release
the fire lanterns, made by Cloud 9, en masse, thereby
celebrating the
elements with this amazing sight.
The exhibition will include installation pieces, sculpture
inside the
gallery and outside, sound, paintings, textiles, photography and
more,
and will run from Friday November 2nd to Monday 3rd December,
10:30-5:30pm Tuesdays to Sundays.
